Emily Leal-Alvarez has been named player of the year. "This season, Emily showed tremendous strength on the court. Even as a freshwoman on the team, she quickly took on a position of leadership. As our starting setter, she was vocal in guiding players across the court and allowed the other girls to feel supported. One of Emily's strong points is a killer float serve. Before the end of the season, we had her playing as the all-around setter, back row and front. In addition to her skills on the court, it was Emily's sense of sportsmanship and dedication to the game that earned her the MVP Award this season. She is well on her way to becoming a seasoned player, and we look forward to assisting her growth in the coming years."
