    Conor Fitzgerald has been named player of the year. "Conor was a multi-tool talent for the U-Prep Panthers this year. He is an exceptional hitter who covers both sides of the plate and can hit for distance as well as hitting to opposite field. Conor has hit in the lead off position, hit second to advance the runners and has utilized his power as a number three hitter. He has added a new element to his game this year with his increased speed. Conor's ability to run the bases makes him a viable threat to score from first on a deep gap shot or from second on a short blooper to the outfield. Conor's greatest strength is his pitching ability, however. His lefty approach, natural movement and exceptional speed has racked up countless strike outs through out the year. Tops in the league and top 10 in the section. Congratulations, Conor on an exceptional year!"
