Steven Tellez has been named player of the year. "Steven Tellez was a complete player for the Sixers this year. His stats speak for themselves as he scored 14 touchdowns this year: 10 rushing, 2 receiving, 1 punt return and 1 kick return. He also led the league (STAL) in Interceptions (3). He finished his senior year with 867 yards on 59 carries rushing in the slot (flyback) and also cought 33 passes for 522 yards. It seemed as though everytime he touched the ball he would gain 15-20 yards or even score! Steven also had 8 returns for a combined 262 yards and finished with 67 tackles (4 for loss) and 3 sacks and 5 QB pressures. He did allthis while playing in only 9 games. Mr. Tellez was awarded the Most Outstanding Utility Player and First Team All confrence in the BVAL (Santa Teresa Athletic League) and should be an All CCS Honoree. Congrats to him and his teammates for winning the league championship and nearly playing for the CCS title. Great year Steven!"
