Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Albany Cougars (Albany, CA) and the visiting Eureka Loggers (Eureka, CA), witnessed Albany's softball squad tip Eureka by a count of 7-4.

The Cougars now sport a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Pinole Valley for a Tri-Counties match on Monday, April 28. Albany will face a Spartans squad coming off a 11-6 non-league loss to Analy (Sebastopol, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 4-14.

With the loss, Eureka moves to 9-9 on the season. The Loggers host Del Norte (Crescent City, CA) to face the Warriors in a Big 5 match on Thursday, May 8. The Warriors go into the match with a record of 5-9.
