The Anderson Cubs the host Corning Cardinals softball squad by a count of 5-1 in Friday's league battle.

The Cubs (27-3) will now prepare for their battle against Yreka (Yreka, CA). The Miners go into the Northern battle with a 8-16 record. In their last battle, Yreka was routed by Central Valley (Shasta Lake, CA), 8-5, in a league battle.

The Cardinals now sport a 10-12 record. They play next when they host West Valley for a Northern battle on Monday, May 9. Corning will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 14-1 league win over Yreka (Yreka, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 17-10.
