Buchanan Bears (Clovis, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Madera Coyotes (Madera, CA), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Bears now own a 14-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central for a Tri-River challenge on Tuesday, April 12. Buchanan will battle a Grizzlies squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over San Benito (Hollister, CA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 15-2.

With the loss, Madera falls to 15-5 on the campaign. The Coyotes host Bullard (Fresno, CA) to battle the Knights in a County/Metro challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 9-7. Bullard lost 6-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Moorpark (Moorpark, CA)
