Clovis Cougars (Clovis, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Clovis East Timberwolves (Clovis, CA), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 16-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clovis West for a Tri-River challenge on Tuesday, April 25. Clovis will face a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 5-4 league win over Buchanan (Clovis, CA). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 9-7.

With the loss, Clovis East falls to 12-10 on the campaign. The Timberwolves host Central (Fresno, CA) to face the Grizzlies in a Tri-River challenge on Tuesday, April 25. The Grizzlies enter the challenge with a record of 18-4. Central lost 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Clovis North (Fresno, CA)
