The Colusa RedHawks softball team scored 8 points and limited the host Willows Honkers to 7 in the RedHawks league triumph on Thursday.
With the triumph, Colusa moves its record to 7-3 on the year. The RedHawks travel to Live Oak (Live Oak, CA) to clash with the Lions in a Sacramento Valley game on Friday, March 30. The Lions come into the game with a record of 2-6.
In their next game, the Honkers clash with the Paradise Bobcats (Paradise, CA) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 23. Willows will attempt to move on its 4-7 season record. The Bobcats come into the game with a 8-5 record after their 2-0 league loss to Foothill (Palo Cedro, CA).








The Lady Honkers got down early and trailed 8-2 until the bottom of the sixth when they scored four runs to make it a 2-run ball game. The Honkers scored four runs on five hits and an error. The big blow came off the bat of Megan Hughes who had a two run single scoring Natalie Massa who reached on an error and Macy Baker who singled. Also scoring was Nichole Thayer and Patricia Farrel who each singled. The Honkers threatened again in the bottom of the seventh loading the bases for Hughes who lined out to second base ending the Honkers hopes of a come back. Courtney Dicharry was 2 for 2 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI's. Baker was 2 for 4 and Hughes was 2 for 5 with 2 RBI's.
