Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Cypress Centurions (Cypress, CA) and the visiting Tustin Tillers (Tustin, CA), witnessed Cypress's softball squad tip Tustin by a count of 7-4.

The Centurions now sport a 14-8 record. They play next when they travel to Yorba Linda for a Empire match on Tuesday, May 8.

With the loss, Tustin moves to 0-10 on the season. The Tillers host Western (Anaheim, CA) to face the Pioneers in a Empire match on Thursday, May 10. The Pioneers go into the match with a record of 10-11.

Ali Wood collected three hits, helping Cypress to a 7-4 victory over Tustin on Thursday at Cypress.

She singled in the second and fifth innings and tripled in the sixth inning. Madi Dove got the win for Cypress. She allowed four runs over seven innings. Dove struck out seven, walked one and gave up six hits.

Cypress added three more runs in the bottom of the fifth. A error scored Wood to get Cypress on the board in the inning. That was followed up by Summer Penner's single, bringing home Kristin Reitz and Drew Thompson.

Cypress piled on two more runs in the bottom of the sixth. Wood started the inning with a triple, plating Kacey Whitney. That was followed up by Ashley Ross's single, scoring Wood.

After pushing across four runs in the top of the seventh, Tustin faced just a 7-4 deficit. A home run by H Sommer fueled Tustin's comeback. Cypress' Dove induced a A Sanchez strike out to close things out.
