The Ripon Indians got by the visiting Escalon Cougars softball squad by a final score of 9-8 in Friday's league battle.

The Indians (6-0) will now prepare for their battle against Tokay (Lodi, CA). The Tigers go into the non-league battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Tokay was edged by Tracy (Tracy, CA), 9-0, in a league battle.

The Cougars now possess a 4-5 record. They play next when they host Hughson for a Trans Valley League battle on Monday, March 18. Escalon will meet a Huskies squad coming off a 12-9 non-league loss to Gregori (Modesto, CA). The Huskies record now stands at 6-5.
