Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Ripon Indians (Ripon, CA) and the visiting Escalon Cougars (Escalon, CA), witnessed Ripon's softball squad hold off Escalon by a final score of 9-8.

The Indians (10-7) will now prepare for their bout against Hughson (Hughson, CA). The Huskies go into the Trans Valley bout with a 15-3 record. In their last bout, Hughson held off Hilmar (Hilmar, CA), 3-2, in a league bout.

The Cougars now possess a 7-10 record. They play next when they travel to Orestimba for a Trans Valley bout on Thursday, April 21. Escalon will confront a Warriors squad coming off a 5-3 league loss to Riverbank (Riverbank, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 4-12.
