Etna Lions (Etna, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Yreka Miners (Yreka, CA), 11-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 9-5 record. They take the field next when they host Trinity for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 9. Etna will battle a Wolves squad coming off a 12-8 league loss to Durham (Durham, CA). The Wolves record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Yreka falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Miners travel to Central Valley (Shasta Lake, CA) to battle the Falcons in a Northern challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 10-5. Central Valley won 18-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Trinity (Weaverville, CA)
