In Wednesday's league contest, the Vallejo Apaches (Vallejo, CA) softball team overwhelmed the host Fairfield Falcons (Fairfield, CA), by a margin of 13-2.
With the triumph, Vallejo moves its record to 4-3 on the year. The Apaches host Benicia (Benicia, CA) to play the Panthers in a Solano County Athletic Conference contest on Friday, March 21. The Panthers come into the contest with a record of 1-0. Benicia won 7-0 in their recent league game against American Canyon (American Canyon, CA)
In their next game, the Falcons play the Bethel Jaguars (Vallejo, CA) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 21. Fairfield will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Jaguars come into the game with a 0-2 record after their 11-1 non-league loss to Vanden (Fairfield, CA).




Lady Apaches jumped out to an early lead on Fairfield and captured a 13-2 victory on Wednesday. Six runs in the first three innings allowed Lady Apaches to put the game away early. A two-run double by Megan Ochs during the first inning and an RBI single by Selena Lazzarotto, a two-run double by Triniece Leskey, and an RBI single by Megan in the second inning helped Lady Apaches put some runs on the board early. Megan racked up five RBIs on three hits for Lady Apaches. Jennifer Colcleaser recorded the win for Lady Apaches. She allowed two runs over five innings. She struck out two, walked one and surrendered seven hits. Chap took the loss for Fairfield. She allowed 11 runs in four innings, walked four and struck out two. Lady Apaches piled on four more runs in the top of the fourth. A ground out scored Aleya Cruz to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Megan's single, plating Selena.Lady Apaches added three more runs in the top of the fifth.
