The Kerman Lions (Kerman, CA) softball nipped the host Liberty Hawks (Madera, CA), 2-1 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Lions (18-13) will now prepare for their bout against Sierra (Tollhouse, CA). The Chieftains go into the North Sequoia bout with a 5-16 record. In their last bout, Sierra was edged by Washington Union (Fresno, CA), 10-0, in a league bout.

The Hawks now possess a 19-6 record. They play next when they travel to Chowchilla for a North Sequoia bout on Friday, May 11. Liberty will confront a Redskins squad coming off a 13-3 league win over Yosemite (Oakhurst, CA). The Redskins record now stands at 18-11.
