The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Ripon Indians (Ripon, CA) and the host Chico Panthers (Chico, CA), saw Ripon's volleyball squad nip Chico by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Ripon upgrades its record to 26-7 on the year. The Indians travel to Salinas (Salinas, CA) to play the Cowboys in a non-league bout on Saturday, October 10. The Cowboys go into the bout with a record of 9-1. Salinas won 3-0 in their recent league bout against San Benito (Hollister, CA)

The Panthers now own a 9-11 record. They play next when they host Oroville for a Eastern bout on Tuesday, October 13. Chico will play a Tigers squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Shasta (Redding, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 7-13.
