Spectators at Saturday's league battle between the Northridge Grizzlies (Greeley, CO) and the visiting Roosevelt Roughriders (Johnstown, CO), saw Northridge's baseball squad knock off Roosevelt by a count of 13-3.

Coming up next, the Grizzlies play the Fort Morgan Mustangs (Fort Morgan, CO) in a 4A Tri-Valley battle, on Tuesday, April 3. Northridge will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Mustangs enter the battle with a 6-2 record after their 12-7 league win over Windsor (Windsor, CO).

The Roughriders now possess a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Frederick for a 4A Tri-Valley battle on Thursday, March 29.

Northridge did a nice job today coming back from Thursday's defeat against Roosevelt by winning 13 - 3. Brock Best picked up his 3rd win of the season showing why he is Northridge's ace. Brock threw 5 innings allowing 3 earned runs against a very good Roosevelt team. Northridge hammered out 17 hits in only 6 innings in a game shortened by the 10 run rule. Northridge had hits from all 9 in the order. Brad Marx lead Northridge at the plate going 4 for 4 with 3 RBI and 2 doubles. Along with pitching Brock Best went 3 for 3 with an RBI a walk and a key sac bunt in the 6th inning. Blake Karlin making his 1st start at 3rd base hitting in the 9 hole went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI to lead the 17 hit attack. Garrad Martinez came in relief of Best in the 6th with the bases loaded and no outs and the score 5 -2 and only allowed a sac fly to stop a Roosevelt rally to pick up his 2nd save of the season. Northridge has 10 days off before they resume league play against Ft. Morgan.
