Edison Eagles (Yoder, CO) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad prevail over the visiting Bethune Bobcats (Bethune, CO), 54-40 in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Eagles meet the Kiowa Indians (Kiowa, CO) in a 1A District 7 match, on Friday, January 31. Edison will attempt to better on its 6-5 season record.

With the defeat, Bethune moves to 4-6 on the year. The Bobcats travel to Stratton/Liberty (Joes, CO) to meet the Knighted Eagles in a 1A District 5 match on Tuesday, January 28. The Knighted Eagles enter the match with a record of 5-5. Stratton/Liberty lost 65-60 in their recent non-league match against Genoa-Hugo/Karval (Hugo, CO)
