La Veta Redskins (La Veta, CO) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Edison Eagles (Yoder, CO), 43-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, La Veta upgrades its record to 3-5 on the season. The Redskins travel to Kim (Kim, CO) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 22. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 2-8. Kim lost 53-47 in their recent non-league bout against McClave (McClave, CO)

In their next game, the Eagles face the Pikes Peak Christian Eagles (Colorado Springs, CO) in a 1A District 7 game, on Thursday, January 21. Edison will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record.
