The Simla Cubs basketball team scored 73 points and held the host Edison Eagles to 30 in the Cubs league triumph on Friday.

The Cubs now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hanover for a 1A Black Forest contest on Saturday, January 7. Simla will meet a Hornets team coming off a 64-32 non-league loss to Colorado Springs (Colorado Springs, CO). The Hornets record now stands at 1-5.

The Eagles (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Pikes Peak Christian (Colorado Springs, CO). The Eagles enter the 1A Black Forest contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Pikes Peak Christian trounced Miami-Yoder (Rush, CO), 54-39, in a non-league contest.
