Josh Van Eps has been named player of the year. "Josh played in all 24 games. He hit .554, with 38 runs scored, and 34 RBIs. He had 13 doubles and 2 triples, 3 HR, with one in the final game of the season in the state semi-final game. He had a .622 OBP, and a .905 slugging percentage. He also had a .984 fielding percentage as a catcher, with 177 put outs. He was the first person to show up to practice and the last one to leave. Not to mention his arm is one of the best I've seen. He will continue his career at Dordt College. He was also voted Most Valuable Player in the Mile High League, by all the other coaches. He will be missed, but I look for great things for him to come in college."
