Adam Benes has been named player of the year. "Adam led our team with his character and work ethic - a true student of the game and coach on the field. He applied every aspect of the skills and fundamentals of the game and demonstrated what it takes to get the most of your ability. Adam drove our offense all year, hitting .426 to lead the team and in the top 2 in most categories offensively: in 18 games he had 23 hits (2nd), 8 doubles (1st), slugged .667 (2nd), .569 OBP (1st), 1.236 OPS (2nd), .529 RISP (1st), 22 runs (1st), 11 SB (1st). Adam had 3 games without a hit, but in 2 of those games he reached base 8 of 9 times (8 BB's) and 9 of 14 times in all 3 games. Adam is also an Academic All State 1st Team. He is headed to South Dakota State University to continue his baseball and academic career."
