Cedaredge Bruins (Cedaredge, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Palisade Bulldogs (Palisade, CO), 8-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Bruins now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Meeker for a 3A District 5 challenge on Friday, September 25. Cedaredge will battle a Cowboys squad coming off a 14-6 non-league win over Eagle Valley (Gypsum, CO). The Cowboys record now stands at 6-5.

With the loss, Palisade falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Eagle Valley (Gypsum, CO) to battle the Devils in a 4A Western Slope challenge on Thursday, September 24. The Devils enter the challenge with a record of 2-6. Eagle Valley lost 11-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Basalt (Basalt, CO)
