Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Palisade Bulldogs (Palisade, CO) and the visiting Durango Demons (Durango, CO), witnessed Palisade's softball squad tip Durango by a final score of 5-3.

The Bulldogs (8-4) will now prepare for their battle against Eagle Valley (Gypsum, CO). The Devils go into the 4A Western Slope battle with a 3-11 record. In their last battle, Eagle Valley held off Steamboat Springs (Steamboat Springs, CO), 37-0, in a league battle.

The Demons now possess a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Montezuma-Cortez for a 5A/4A Southwest battle on Tuesday, September 22. Durango will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Delta (Delta, CO). The Panthers record now stands at 3-6.
