Valley Vikings (Gilcrest, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Sterling Tigers (Sterling, CO), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 14-4 record. They take the field next when they host Lyons for a 3A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, October 2. Valley will battle a Lions squad coming off a 17-0 league loss to Platte Valley (Kersey, CO). The Lions record now stands at 3-12.

With the loss, Sterling falls to 11-7 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Eaton (Eaton, CO) to battle the Reds in a 3A District 3 challenge on Saturday, October 6. The Reds enter the challenge with a record of 9-9. Eaton won 25-4 in their recent league challenge against Lyons (Lyons, CO)
