The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Nucla Mustangs (Nucla, CO) and the visiting Rangely Panthers (Rangely, CO), saw Nucla's volleyball squad nip Rangely by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Nucla upgrades its record to 2-4 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Ouray (Ouray, CO) to play the Trojans in a 2A/1A San Juan bout on Thursday, September 19. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 0-6. Ouray lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Norwood (Norwood, CO)

The Panthers now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Vail Christian for a 2A/1A Western Slope bout on Saturday, September 14. Rangely will play a Saints squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Hotchkiss (Hotchkiss, CO). The Saints record now stands at 4-3.
