Casey Trasacco has been named player of the year. "Casey Trasacco has received the Player of the Year Award for the 2010 Wilbur Cross co-op lacrosse team. Casey is a team tri-captain and has exemplified the traits necessary to put the team on his shoulders and help to make new players better, more hard working lacrosse players. He led the team to the most wins in the brief history of the lacrosse program. He has helped younger players new to the game understand the game and the attitude needed to become successful. He has sacrificed a lot of personal glory to be a big part of building the lacrosse program at Wilbur Cross High School. Casey owns the school scoring mark with 100 points; this mark was accomplished in 2 seasons. He has been selected for the West Senior All Star team and is a Class M All State nominee. Casey is a scholar athlete on the Hyde Leadership football team and also coached 4 junior varsity football games; winning three of those games. Casey will be playing lacrosse while attending Nichols College in the fall. He will be majoring in Sports Management with a concentration in the Coach Mentoring Program."
