The Ellington Knights triumphed over the host Canton Warriors softball squad by a count of 8-0 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Knights play the Waterford Lancers (Waterford, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, April 25. Ellington will attempt to upgrade on its 7-0 season record. The Lancers enter the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 18-8 non-league loss to Bacon Academy (Colchester, CT).

The Warriors (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Granby Memorial (Granby, CT). The Bears enter the North Central Connecticut challenge with a 6-4 record. In their last challenge, Granby Memorial overcame Bolton (Bolton, CT), 12-0, in a league challenge.
