The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Cromwell Panthers (Cromwell, CT) and the host Coventry Patriots (Coventry, CT), saw Cromwell's softball squad nip Coventry by a count of 6-1.

The Panthers now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host East Hampton for a Shoreline - Large match on Monday, April 4. Cromwell will face a Bellringers squad coming off a 12-4 league loss to Morgan (Clinton, CT). The Bellringers record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Coventry falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Patriots host Bolton (Bolton, CT) to face the Bulldogs in a North Central Connecticut match on Thursday, April 7. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 0-0.
