Chipley Tigers (Chipley, FL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Jay Royals (Jay, FL), 67-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Chipley upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to Freeport (Freeport, FL) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 1A District 3 bout on Thursday, December 13. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Freeport lost 59-42 in their recent league bout against Jay (Jay, FL)

Next up, the Royals clash with the Pleasant Home Eagles (Andalusia, AL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 10. Jay will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 62-36 non-league loss to Geneva County (Hartford, AL).
