Lauren Burns has been named player of the year. "Lauren is the senior, captain on our team. She had to adjust to a new coach, new position, and new style of play this year. Lauren did everything that was asked of her, rebounding, defending in the post, and keeping the team focused on the goals they had set. Lauren finished the season with 111 points for a 5.6 ppg, averaged 5.0 rebounds, and shot 13/53 for 25% from 3pt range. Her ability to play a variety of positions and provide leadership was invaluable in our 14-8 performance this season. She will be greatly missed."
