Alex Tewell

Alex Tewell has been named player of the year. "Alex Tewell is an elite level soccer player who was one of only two players on our team this year with club soccer experience. As a result, Alex was named Co-Captain. He helped the inexperienced players during practices by demonstrating proper dribbling, defensive and offensive techniques. He gave leadership to the other players during games. He spent the season playing all positions (Defender, Midfield, Forward and even GK) because we were so short-handed. He never complained. Instead, he used our team's adversity to teach the other players how to become young men and how to win. Through his efforts our young team went from winless during the regular season to placing third at State (2-1-1) and winning a trophy. As a result of his field prowess and leadership, Alex was awarded the team's Defensive Player of the Year. As a result, Alex Tewell is most deserving of this honor.
