The Mt. Blue Cougars basketball squad (Farmington, ME), was nudged 35-32 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Brewer Witches (Brewer, ME)

With the victory, Brewer advances its record to 9-0 on the year. The Witches host Lawrence (Fairfield, ME) to clash with the Bulldogs in a A North test on Saturday, January 4. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 0-7. Lawrence lost 45-37 in their recent league test against Hampden (Hampden, ME)

The Cougars (5-3) will now prepare for their test against Oxford Hills (South Paris, ME). The Vikings come into the non-league test with a 7-4 record. In their last test, Oxford Hills held off Bangor (Bangor, ME), 66-64, in a league test.
