Texas High School Basketball - Guyer nips Braswell
January 3, 2023: Little Elm, TX 76227 Guyer Wildcats (Denton, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Braswell Bengals (Little Elm, TX), 45-40 in a league bout.
With the victory, Guyer upgrades its record to 16-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Allen (Allen, TX) to play the Eagles in a 6A Region I District 5 bout on Friday, January 6. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 18-6. Allen won 72-38 in their recent league bout against McKinney (McKinney, TX)
Next up, the Bengals play the Prosper Eagles (Prosper, TX) in a 6A Region I District 5 bout, on Friday, January 6. Braswell will attempt to upgrade on its 13-9 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 8-13 record after their 52-38 league loss to Rock Hill (Frisco, TX).
