MacArthur Generals (Houston, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Spring Lions (Spring, TX), 74-67 in a league bout.

With the victory, MacArthur upgrades its record to 9-13 on the campaign. The Generals host Westfield (Houston, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 6A Region II District 14 bout on Friday, January 6. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 9-11. Westfield won 91-88 in their recent league bout against Eisenhower (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Lions play the Dekaney Wildcats (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region II District 14 bout, on Friday, January 6. Spring will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 8-15 record after their 66-50 league win over Aldine (Houston, TX).
