Texas High School Basketball - Spring nips Nimitz

Spring Lions (Spring, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Nimitz Cougars (Houston, TX), 56-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Spring upgrades its record to 7-13 on the season. The Lions travel to Eisenhower (Houston, TX) to play the Eagles in a 6A Region II District 14 bout on Friday, January 13. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 8-14. Eisenhower won 67-58 in their recent league game against Aldine (Houston, TX)

With the defeat, Nimitz moves to 14-10 on the year. The Cougars host Dekaney (Houston, TX) to face the Wildcats in a 6A Region II District 14 game on Friday, January 13. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 8-17. Dekaney lost 68-56 in their recent league game against MacArthur (Houston, TX)
