Illinois High School Basketball - Sacred Heart-Griffin holds off Glenwood
January 3, 2023: Chatham, IL 62629 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones (Springfield, IL) and the host Glenwood Titans (Chatham, IL), saw Sacred Heart-Griffin's basketball squad hold off Glenwood by a tally of 41-34.
With the victory, Sacred Heart-Griffin improves its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Cyclones host MacArthur (Decatur, IL) to confront the Generals in a Central State Eight challenge on Friday, January 6. The Generals come into the challenge with a record of 9-9. MacArthur won 70-52 in their recent league challenge against Springfield Southeast (Springfield, IL)
Next up, the Titans confront the Jacksonville Crimsons (Jacksonville, IL) in a Central State Eight challenge, on Thursday, January 5. Glenwood will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Crimsons come into the challenge with a 6-13 record after their 45-38 league win over Normal University (Normal, IL).
