The Sierra Chieftains basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Minarets Mustangs to 48 in the Chieftains league triumph on Tuesday.

The Chieftains now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Yosemite for a contest on Friday, January 6. Sierra will meet a Badgers team coming off a 34-21 league loss to Liberty (Madera, CA). The Badgers record now stands at 1-11.

The Mustangs (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Chowchilla (Chowchilla, CA). The Tribe enter the contest with a 5-4 record.
