Pennsylvania High School Basketball - George School nips Peddie
January 3, 2024: Newtown, PA 18940 George School Cougars (Newtown, PA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Peddie Falcons (Hightstown, NJ), 62-58 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, George School upgrades its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Cougars host Abington Friends (Jenkintown, PA) to play the in a Friends Schools bout on Friday, January 5. The come into the bout with a record of 3-7. Abington Friends lost 71-59 in their recent league game against Westtown (West Chester, PA)
With the defeat, Peddie moves to 5-3 on the year. The Falcons travel to Hill School (Pottstown, PA) to face the Rams in a Mid-Atlantic Prep A game on Saturday, January 6. The Rams enter the game with a record of 0-2. Hill School lost 66-48 in their recent non-league game against St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, NJ)
