Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA), 37-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Grayson County upgrades its record to 2-6 on the season. The Blue Devils travel to Galax (Galax, VA) to play the Maroon Tide in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Maroon Tide go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Galax lost 49-25 in their recent non-league bout against Graham (Bluefield, VA)

Next up, the Eagles play the George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Auburn will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Maroons go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 59-51 non-league loss to Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA).
