Alma Cardinals (Alma, NE) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Medicine Valley Raiders (Curtis, NE), 53-40 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Alma advances its record to 7-1 on the year. The Cardinals host Superior (Superior, NE) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 1-6. Superior lost 68-39 in their recent non-league match against St. Patrick's (North Platte, NE)

The Raiders now own a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wallace for a D2 District 10 match on Tuesday, January 7. Medicine Valley will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 45-36 non-league win over South Platte (Big Springs, NE). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-3.
