In Friday's non-league contest, the host Douglas County West Falcon basketball team scored a good 63-47 triumph over the West Point-Beemer Cadets.

The Falcon (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against Wayne (Wayne, NE). The Blue Devils go into the non-league contest with a 9-0 record. In their last contest, Wayne topped Lakeview (Columbus, NE), 48-43, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cadets battle the Fort Calhoun Pioneers (Fort Calhoun, NE) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 7. West Point-Beemer will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record.
