The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mt. Shasta Bears (Mt. Shasta, CA) and the host Lassen Grizzlies (Susanville, CA), observed Mt. Shasta's basketball team edge Lassen by a score of 62-57.

The Bears (7-7) will now prepare for their challenge against West Valley (Cottonwood, CA). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 8-7 record. In their last challenge, West Valley edged Del Norte (Crescent City, CA), 55-45, in a non-league challenge.
