Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Maplewood knocked off by Northwestern
January 3, 2025: Albion, PA 16401 In Friday's non-league test, the Northwestern Wildcats (Albion, PA) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Maplewood Tigers (Guys Mills, PA), by a score of 51-41.
Next, the Wildcats encounter the Girard Yellowjackets (Girard, PA) in a District 10 Region 6 test, on Tuesday, January 7. Northwestern will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the test with a 6-2 record after their 84-61 non-league win over Erie First Christian Academy (Erie, PA).
The Tigers (2-5) will now prepare for their test against Jamestown (Jamestown, PA). The Muskies come into the District 10 Region 2 test with a 1-8 record. In their last test, Jamestown was knocked off by Reynolds (Greenville, PA), 56-52, in a non-league test.
