January 3, 2025: Waynesboro, VA 22980 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Stuarts Draft Cougars (Stuarts Draft, VA) and the host Waynesboro Little Giants (Waynesboro, VA), observed Stuarts Draft's basketball team knock off Waynesboro by a score of 46-32.
The Cougars (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Riverheads (Staunton, VA). The Gladiators come into the Shenandoah challenge with a 6-5 record. In their last challenge, Riverheads was knocked off by Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA), 88-62, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Little Giants encounter the Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 6. Waynesboro will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Flying Flucos come into the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 68-47 non-league loss to Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, VA).
