The Cornerstone Charter Cardinals basketball team scored 48 points and limited the host Phoenix Academy Firebirds to 47 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now possess a 5-9 record. They play next when they travel to College Prep & Leadership Academy for a 1A Northwest Piedmont game on Tuesday, January 7. Cornerstone Charter will play a Royals team coming off a 55-6 league win over Winston-Salem Prep (Winston-Salem, NC). The Royals record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Phoenix Academy falls to 4-7 on the campaign.
