The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC) and the host South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC), observed Forest Hills's basketball team overwhelm South Stanly by a score of 65-21.

The Yellow Jackets (10-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Piedmont (Monroe, NC). The Panthers come into the 2A/3A Rocky River challenge with a 5-7 record. In their last challenge, Piedmont was routed by Monroe (Monroe, NC), 58-48, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Rowdy Rebel Bulls encounter the Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC) in a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. South Stanly will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 80-59 non-league win over Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA).
