January 4, 2023: Bad Axe, MI 48413 The Bad Axe Hatchets (Bad Axe, MI) basketball nipped the visiting Ubly Bearcats (Ubly, MI), 46-42 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Hatchets (6-0) will now prepare for their test against Cass City (Cass City, MI). The Red Hawks go into the Greater Thumb - West test with a 5-0 record. In their last test, Cass City got by Valley Lutheran (Saginaw, MI), 51-50, in a non-league test.
The Bearcats now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Memphis for a Greater Thumb - East test on Friday, January 6. Ubly will encounter a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 54-50 non-league win over North Huron (Kinde, MI). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 2-4.
