Coon Rapids Cardinals (Coon Rapids, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Elk River Elks (Elk River, MN), 73-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Coon Rapids upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Maple Grove (Maple Grove, MN) to play the Crimson in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Crimson go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Maple Grove won 82-64 in their recent league bout against Champlin Park (Champlin, MN)

Next up, the Elks play the Totino-Grace Eagles (Fridley, MN) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 10. Elk River will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record.
