January 4, 2024: Fort Towson, OK 74735 Fort Towson Tigers (Fort Towson, OK) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Pittsburg Panthers (Pittsburg, OK), 46-42 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Fort Towson upgrades its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Tigers host Wilson (Wilson, OK) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 9-1.
Next up, the Panthers play the Savanna Bulldogs (Savanna, OK) in a Pittsburg Eight bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Pittsburg will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 55-27 non-league loss to Allen (Allen, OK).
