The Cheney Blackhawks basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Ferris Saxons to 38 in the Blackhawks non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Blackhawks now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gonzaga Prep for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9.

The Saxons (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Coeur d'Alene (Coeur d'Alene, ID). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record.
